SACBC AIDS Office has a vacancy for:
Professional Nurse
Position Title: Professional Nurse (2 Posts)
Reports to: Program Manager
Location of position: SACBC Office, Pretoria
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Diploma in General nursing.
Qualification in Community Nursing Science will be an added advantage.
Current registration with South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
At least 5 years’ experience after qualification as a registered nurse.
At least 3 years exposure on project management working with NGOs.
Experience with donor-funded projects.
Skills and knowledge related to the HIV and AIDS environment.
Experience in training and mentoring of professional nurses and community workers at grassroots/diocesan organizations (community based organizations).
Proficiency in English and one or more local languages.
Computer Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Outlook.
A valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Duties Include:
Recruit and train professional nurses for deployment to the districts
Support and supervise the nurses deployed to the districts.
Develop and disseminate site specific work plans to ensure targets are met for HIV testing, referral for treatment and for treatment adherence.
Coordinate & monitor program in collaboration with Program Manager.
Address program quality improvement issues for effective service delivery.
Work closely with Department of Health Structures and other stakeholders.
Compile monthly reports.
Collate information on project activities and report to Program Manager.

Ability to work under pressure to reach deadlines.
Good interpersonal and time Management skills.
Coordination and Facilitation skills.
Ability to work independently and under supervision, and in a team.
Willingness to travel extensively.
Flexibility in terms of working hours, including after-business hours if required, especially during site visits and during deadline periods.
This is a fixed term contract position available from 15 April 2019 to 30 September 2019.
The remuneration offered will be no more than R18, 500 per month.
