As human beings we a flawed, we are wounded, forever in need of a healing from God.  The readings point us to He who will bring us healing, Christ Jesus.  We may be in paralysis, finding ourselves unable to do anything for ourselves but in Christ there is healing. Strengthened by His word we are called upon to stand and walk.

All who are thirsty, come to the waters, says the Lord. Though you have no money, come and drink with joy. Cf. Is 55.1
