The law of the Lord is perfect; it revives the soul. The decrees of the Lord are steadfast; they give wisdom to the simple. Cf. Ps 18.8

Our lent is supposed to be a very positive thing, something that helps us grow closer to God, to others, and to ourselves. We have to be very careful of tying our love to doing only what we like. Charity means we love even those we don’t know and sometimes the people we don’t like.
