Two Priests lose their lives in a car accident

The Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference (SACBC) has been shocked by the tragic accident which has claimed the two lives of St John Vianney Seminary staff members; Fr Owen Wilcock from the Diocese of Port Elizabeth and Fr Sibusiso Zulu from the Diocese of Eshowe. The other two priests, Fr John Selemela and Fr Ricardo Smuts, are recovering at the Netcare Hospital in Polokwane.

The accident happened along N1 North after Mokopane Toll Plaza on Tuesday afternoon.

We pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.

We extend our condolences to the families of the deceased and to the faithful of Port Elizabeth and Eshowe respectively.

May God grant them eternal rest.
