Like the eyes of slaves on the hand of their lords, so our eyes are on the Lord our God, till he show us his mercy. Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy. Cf. Ps 122.2-3

Our Lord thinks of us as children and not as servants. As much as our eyes are on the Lord, maybe we need to turn our eyes to the least of our brothers; the hungry, the homeless, the depressed. Jesus identifies himself with these.
