Archbishop Stephen Brislin, in his capacity as the Catholic Archbishop of Cape Town has released a statement regarding the current violence in Israel and Palestine. Although Archbishop Brislin is releasing this statement in his capacity as the bishop of Cape Town he belongs to a group called the “Holy Land Co-ordination” which was set up by the Vatican a number of years ago, and they have visited Gaza, the West Bank and Israel a number of times. He is also the SACBC representative on the SACC committee on the Holy Land.
