Holy Father, Pope Francis, has elected Rev Father Sylvester David OMI, the former Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Durban, to be the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Cape Town.

Let us pray for the Auxiliary Bishop elect during his preparations to make a new home in Cape Town.

The date for the ordination of Auxiliary Bishop elect will be announced when due preparations have completed.
