Conscious of the a difficult period a number of countries are going though the Standing Committee of IMBISA met in Pretoria to on the situation in its region. They noted also the plight on young people who are not sidelined and not participating meaningfully in the economies of their respective countries with the situation leaving them less hope of the better.

They appealed to the words of the Roman Pontiff, “Pope Francis never grows tired in exhorting all to embark on a path of true human fraternity where the common good can be promoted at all times and at all levels.”

As a result they wish to encourage the following: The practice of solidarity, On-going formation at all levels in the Church, Supporting efforts by governments and other institutions, the importance of prayer and encouragement for all Health Care Workers.
