Memorial Mass in Honour of Pope Francis – Diocese of Port Elizabeth

The Diocese of Port Elizabeth invites the faithful to a solemn Memorial Mass in honour of His Holiness Pope Francis, who passed away on 21 April 2025. The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Mduduzi Zungu on 25 April 2025 at 17h30 at Mater Dei Parish, Newton Park. This sacred gathering is an opportunity for the community to come together in prayerful remembrance, giving thanks for Pope Francis’s life of humble service and enduring witness to the Gospel.
