The Generalate of The Sisters of Jesus the Saviour in Nigeria send out a communication on the 23 August 2022 to announce that the sisters, who were kidnapped on their way to Mass on the 21 August, have been safely released.
“With heart full of joy, the Sisters of Jesus the Saviour wish to announce the unconditional and safe release of four of our sisters who were abducted around Okigwe-Umulolo,” said Sr. Zita Ihedoro, the Secretary General.
“Today is a memorable day for us, therefore, we wish to share this joy with all men and women of goodwill who in one way or other have contributed to the quick and safe release of our dear sisters”.
Sr. Ihedoro said they sincerely appreciate and thank all who offered prayers and moral support during their difficult time, wishing the blessing and protection from Jesus the Saviour whom they have come to serve.
