During Holy Week it is easy for us to lose sight of the Father. Jesus is preparing for us a new life. This new life is given to us even during our earthly days through the gifts, the fruits, and the grace of the Holy Spirit. God the Father longs for each of us to enter into His company.

Contend, O Lord, with my contenders; fight those who fight me. Take up your buckler and shield; arise in my defence, Lord, my mighty help. Cf. Ps 34.1-2; 139.8
