Ultimately, we should ask ourselves what we would have done if we were part of the meeting with the high priest. Would you stand with Jesus even if others were hostile or would you back down? So let us reflect today on how we treat each other. We should always remember that getting back to Easter is our ultimate goal.

O Lord, do not stay afar off; my strength, make haste to help me! For I am a worm and no man, scorned by everyone, despised by the people.  Cf. Ps 20.20,7
