We might learn to bargain effectively. The diplomacy of Moses pays off as he convinces God to relent. So, the Lord relented. Our readiness to admit that we’ve often got it wrong and our willingness to return to the Lord mark the beginning of something new. Do we really believe that Jesus is who he claims to be?

“Let the hearts that seek the Lord rejoice; turn to the Lord and his strength; constantly seek his face.” (Cf. Ps 104:3-4)
