His word is not an empty word; it is a life-giving word. Reading the Bible and listening to the word of God can draw us deeper into union with God Himself. When we read the Bible we pray with the words of God, because the Bible is the book in which God Himself is speaking to us.
“O Lord, you have been our refuge, from generation to generation; from age to age, you are.” (Cf. Ps 89:1-2)
