Instead of cause hurt to others we take the cause of helping and supporting others. Then God promises your light will rise in the darkness. We can ask, “Is there any darkness in me which needs conversion? Like bitterness after being let down by someone I trusted.

Answer us Lord, for your mercy is kind; in the abundance of your mercies, look upon us. (Cf. Ps 68:17)
