In our generation we are failing to discover the power of God’s mercy because we have lost a sense of sin. There are a lot of things our society is doing which are sins but we no longer see them of sins. We even celebrate sins as if it’s something positive, a human right.

You are merciful to all, O Lord, and despise nothing that you have made. You overlook people’s sins, to bring them to repentance, and you spare them, for you are the Lord our God. (Wis 11:24,25,27)
