When he calls on me, I will answer him; I will deliver him and give him glory, I will grant him length of days. Cf. Ps.90: 15-16

A journey home to God is a journey through desert, through temptations, sin and forgetfulness of God. Jesus in the Gospel today is tempted by satan. He is tempted to use his gifts and blessings just for himself, to make him self-important, a celebrity, a king dominating all.
