All Lenten penance has a purpose, to love God more. Like Jesus, when we serve the Lord, people out there seek ways of either doing us harm or putting us down. We continue to make a self-introspection, and trying to be more like Christ.

I pray to you, O Lord, for a time of your favour. In your great mercy, answer me, O God, with your salvation that never fails. Ps 68.14
