Appointment of New Metropolitan Archbishop
His Holiness Pope Francis has appointed His Excellency Bishop Dabula Anthony Mpako as the Archbishop of Pretoria.
The official announcement was published in Rome on Tuesday the 30th April 2019.
The Pope accepted the resignation of Archbishop William Slattery OFM, as Archbishop of Pretoria, according to the prescriptions of Canon Law on the completion of 75 years of age.
